On March 27, the World BASC Organization (WBO) held its 2025 Ordinary General Assembly in the city of Miami, with the participation of representatives from the eleven National BASC Chapters, including Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. The annual meeting also welcomed honorary members of the Organization and, as guests, the representatives from Regional BASC Chapters of Colombia and Ecuador.
During the session, the new Board of Directors was elected to lead WBO’s strategic plan for the 2025–2027 term. In a formal ceremony, the new dignitaries officially assumed their roles, receiving unanimous support from the Assembly.

The meeting featured a presentation of the main accomplishments from 2024, aligned with the five strategic objectives of WBO’s 2023–2027 Strategic Plan. These included the Organization’s sustained growth, the successful execution of the 11th BASC Global Conference, and the implementation of projects focused on increasing organizational visibility, adding value for members, and improving operational efficiency, among others.
Additionally, the International President and the Executive Director of WBO presented the 2025 work plan, and the Assembly defined this year’s priorities. These include the continuation of strategic projects, strengthening international partnerships, and planning the 12th BASC Global Conference which will be held in the second semester of 2026 in Miami.
Finally, the outgoing Board of Directors was recognized with appreciation for their contributions, with a special acknowledgment to Mr. Emilio Aguiar, a founding member of BASC Guayaquil, who over the course of 16 years provided exceptional leadership and support to BASC, serving in various roles including President and member of the Ecuador Chapter Board of Directors and President and Treasurer of the WBO Board of Directors.
