On March 28th and 29th, the World BASC Organization (WBO) hosted its Ordinary General Assembly in Miami. Representatives from the eleven National BASC Chapters attended, including those from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. The Regional BASC Chapters of Colombia and Ecuador were invited to join the event, along with honorary members of the Organization.
At this annual meeting, key decisions were made regarding the World BASC Organization's ongoing projects and activities for 2023. These initiatives are encompassed within the new 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, as well as various projects carried over from the previous year, aligning with strategic growth, visibility, member value, and organizational efficiency while disseminating best practices.
Moreover, the Assembly endorsed the management of the International Presidency and Executive Direction, led by Mr. Erik Moncayo and his team. Highlights included the various projects from the Strategic Plan, representation activities and meetings, strengthening of information and technology systems, and the Organization's financial status.
Mr. Emilio Aguiar, on behalf of the Board of Directors, which he presided over, presented a report on the management and achievements of both the board and the WBO over the past four years. This period yielded exceptional results that exceeded expectations.
The World BASC Organization extends its gratitude to the 2019-2023 Board of Directors for their successful, committed, and dedicated work in fulfilling WBO's mission through coordinated and harmonious collaboration.
Election of the WBO Board of Directors for the 2023-2025 Term
A significant highlight of this year's Ordinary General Assembly was the election of the new Board of Directors for the World BASC Organization, comprising esteemed representatives from seven member BASC chapters. The new WBO Board of Directors for the 2023-2025 term was elected and sworn in, culminating in a special acknowledgment and expression of gratitude to the outgoing Board of Directors.
